StartUpStreet : NEW Program from Charis Johnson (12DailyPro)

A couple of weeks ago, Charis Johnson, former admin of 12dailypro.com, launched a new blog at here. Very interesting reading, especially for former 12DP members. Then yesterday, she announced the launch of a new project, Startup Street.

Here is Suzanna's review of Charis' new program :

Charis has launched her new program, but it may not be clearly understandable right off the bat how it works and WHERE IS THE MONEY to be made! So I have gone thru the site and am ready to give you a synopsis of how it works and what the possible payoff is for us as members.

Here is where and how you make money... members earn points for viewing ads. You must view 30 ads per day to earn. There is a survey question that goes with each ad that you must answer to move to next ad. So it is basically a manual surf.

The first day of each month you will be able to redeem your earned points for a reward. This will be in form of an electronic "gift certificates" for various on line and off line businesses. You can get an idea here:

From what I can figure out, there is no "upgrade" requirement, meaning it is FREE to earn. Everyone can earn points and redeem them once a month. BUT where does the money come from? It comes from advertising revenue at AdBrite! Here is what you do to get YOUR site and ad seen in the surfbar...you purchase ads from AdBrite and that revenue is then shared among point earners and will determine the eventual value of the points earned during the month.

So the more ads bought to be seen on StartUpStreet, and the more ads clicked on while surfing, the more revenue is generated for the month, the more your earned points will be worth.

You buy a text and/or banner ad and your site is put into rotation as well.

There will also be a Fast Lane for earning more credits. That hasn't been put into place yet, so I can't tell you what it is. I think it will probably be the equivalent of Banners/Ads to click on to earn extra points.

There is also a section for Businesses and it remains to be seen what that will be and how it will work.

Now, how this will all work out financially for members remains to be seen. But it is basically an advertising co-op using a third party advertising company (Ad Brite) to generate revenue. And since no one is required to pay to earn, I suppose that keeps it well within legalities. But the more people advertise their sites, buying the advertisement thru Ad Brite and clicking on the text and banner ads, the more revenue is generated for all members.

With the manual surf bar and individual questions for each site, at least you know your site is being seen and considered plus you will get the feedback from the survey question!

One other catch... it looks like this will be for US residents only for now. I think she has to figure out a way around International laws etc. I used my US address to sign up, so if you are International, perhaps you can use a friend's US address as well.

All of this is what I have figured out just by studying the site. I may be wrong on some of it and some of it hasn't been introduced yet so I may not have the whole picture. But this should help you figure out what is going on so far!

Also, there is no referral program... another legal issue I am sure. But again, the more people using the site, the more revenue generated and the more points will be worth each month! One for all and all for one!

I have signed up and am surfing. Right now all that is in the surfbar are clickbank sites and other sites from Charis. The text ads too are surely generic ads from adbrite rather than ads purchased expressly for StartUpStreet.

So join, surf, earn points and visit text ads and let's see what Charis has up her sleeve to make us money! And by all means, BUY ADVERTISING! I will be buying some for our PAS site!
